At Queensland Ecologists, we provide:
- flora surveys;
- vegetation assessment and mapping,
- threatened species survey; and
- weed surveys and mapping.
Our Ecologists have undertaken comprehensive flora and vegetation surveys in most regions of Queensland, with particular experience in South East Queensland. Our Ecologists are trained and experienced in applying the Queensland Herbarium’s Regional Ecosystem (RE) classification system, Ecological Equivalence measurements and undertaking BioCondition assessments.
Our Ecologists have a sound knowledge of current floristic taxonomy and the requirements of the Vegetation Management Act 1999, the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) in relation to protected vegetation communities and threatened species.
